In rehearsals, the All Hallows’ choir doesn’t just learn notes, we also learn the historical context of the compositions. This understanding adds depth and energy to our music. Whether the dozen or so of us are singing at the 10:30 am Sunday Eucharist in the Brick Church, for seasonal services, or at Evensong in the Chapel, our Anglican tradition is the model for our music. It spans a wide range of style—from early polyphonic works often sung unaccompanied to compositions from our present century. It can be challenging at times, but if you are interested in joining, please don’t be put off by this. It’s also a lot of fun.
Rehearsals are normally held on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 8:45 pm, and on Sundays at 9:30 am. During summer we rehearse on Sunday mornings only.
